Borovets

Borovets après ski is simply legendary. Known for its all-night parties, strip clubs, quirky discos and back-to-back pubs and bars. This Bulgarian winter resort is still top of the best ski stag destinations hit list. There is no place that can compete with Borovets on choice of nightlife and how inexpensive it is. The ultimate Borovets pub crawl starts in the Hotel Samokov’s sports bar. Then directly opposite head to B.J.s bar, for 2 for 1 cocktails. There you can play the nail and hammer game. From B.Js bar either head to the Red Lion pub on the main high street. The Red lion is a vibrant pub, with big screens and cheesy DJs. Slightly further up from the Red Lion is Buzz Bar, with bar and dance room. Cruise on up the high street and bring the skiing stag party into Funkays. Food and cocktails are recommended here. If you want sexy girls, then try Pigalle lap dancing club. It’s a quirky ski lodge room, but very entertaining for the groom and friends. Keep following the road to the top, and head to Francos. It’s a double level bar and club, with a great atmosphere. Go the opposite way, walk passed Hotel Rila and onwards to Black Tiger. Brilliant place for Karaoke, food and drink promotions. Borovets stag do packages are best booked early before December.

Ljubljana

Slovenia’s capital is called Ljubljana, and is highly recommended for a ski stag weekend. Flights are inexpensive, the transfer time from airport to city centre is less than 30 minutes and the nearby by ski resort Krvavec has won numerous awards. To combine a ski break, with stag party vibes, then Ljubljana offers something special for grooms and bestmen. Cirkus Club is one of our favourites, with international DJs spinning deep house and hip-hop urban flavours. For stylish interiors, vip booths and stunning local women, then head to TOP SIX Club. The music varies from house to RnB, and you’ll rub shoulders with the capital’s beautiful people. Enjoy panoramic views across the capital, as the venue’s name suggests, it’s found at the top of the city’s tallest building. As Aperitivo is a high-end food and cocktail establishment. For the high-end jet-setters, start your nights here, then move onto the club scene. Ljubljana is a stunning city, and very walkable. Pubs are dotted along the river front, so ski stag parties don’t have to go-far to find the action. By night groups can enjoy the diversity of a friendly city, then look forward to great skiing in Krvavec to clear the hangover away.

St Anton

When compiling the list for best ski stag destinations, there is one infamous name to consider ‘St Anton’. But is it right for guys looking to travel 2 – 4 nights? The answer is no. It’s simply not worth the money. With only two or three days of ski time, you won’t maximise the ski lift passes. You’ll also start to feel the pinch of the very expensive beer prices. St Anton is also known for its afternoon après drinking venues, but sadly these aren’t a great fit for stag weekends. The reason we say this is because stags get up late, and want to ski till the end. They also have very limited time on the slopes, so don’t waste their ski time by drinking. If anything stag groups use the skiing to get rid of their hangovers, to start fresh again on the evening. The best place to quench your thirst in St Anton is The Mooserwirt, under the DJ sounds of Gerhard & Thomas. Across the way you’ll find the legendary Krazy Kanguruh, where shots are served on skis and people get jiggy on the tables. We love the open air dancing and disco theme days. Anton bar, Basecamp, Bar Cuba, Horny Bull, Picadilly and the Underground are all top draw après ski nightlife contenders for ski stag weekends in St Anton.

Verbier

Verbier in Switzerland is the largest ski area in the country, with over 400 km of pistes and over 90 lifts. The highest point is 3330m at the Mont Fort summit. Prince Harry, before his wedding to Meghan Markle, had is ski stag do in Verbier. It’s one of the most expensive and exclusive places to ski and snowboard, but if you have the money, it’s known for its party hard bars. Most of the nightlife and après ski is located off the mountain, close to the Place Centrale in the centre. To start your drinking early, start up on the mountainside at Le Mouton Noir. It’s our number one spot for an early afternoon après, especially on the sun terrace. High prices, superb views, excellent cocktails and service. For luxury skiing stag holidays, this has to be on the bucket list. We also recommend the terrace at Le Rouge. Rub shoulders with Russian’s in real fur, to unwoke millionaire jet-setting rich kids from London. The residents keep it lively, with euro-beats and lounge-chic house grooves. Climb up the Médran piste to Pub Mont Fort, between 4pm till 5pm for the happy hour party. We like the terrace and giant TV for showing the football & rugby. It’s also great for ski stag weekends, that want live music or pool tables. Every social group has that hipster moustache combing friend. The guy that went vegan 10 years ago and writes his own fashion blog. We’ll Mr Hip, will be pleased to know there is a place serving craft beers and swanky cocktails. Owned by famous chef Tom Etridge, Vie Montagne is one of our favourite places. The V-bier is brewed on-site and damn tasty too. As you would imagine, the food is exceptional, but you’ll need to book tables way-in-advance. The largest club in Verbier is L’Etoile. It doesn’t encourage all male stag ski groups, so book your champagne tables in advance to get entry. If you want extravagance, good DJs and to meet gorgeous wealthy girls, head here for the stag do. International DJs come here, so it’s musically more advanced than anywhere else. It adds a level of sophistication to the resort, making Verbier one of the best ski stag destinations in  Europe. For a cheeky glass of Red wine and quality steak for the groom, take the ski stag party to Alcapone’s.  Finally, Le Fer à Cheval in Verbier does the best beer and pizza combination. Lively bar, excellent for après ski action.

Meribel

Meribel is a large ski resort in France, and at the centre of Les 3 Valleys, which is the world’s largest ski area. Matching its reputation for quality skiing, the après ski is also very good. Our Meribel ski stag do packages, combine all the essentials for on and off slope services. From snowmobile hire to VIP club entrances. Obviously the ski terrain is amazing, but to make it onto the best ski stag destinations top poll, it has to have great party options. One of our go-to places to party in the open-air is The Rond Point. We love the toffee vodka, happy hour from 4pm and the international DJs that visit and spin their tunes. A close second would be La Folie Douce, with its cool-set music policy, class food and various themed parties. For Live music, stand-up comedy and much more, we dig the party vibes at JACK’s. Cocktails and food is recommended here. La Poste, Barometer, La Taverne, Copina, Scott’s and The Doron Pub are go-to stops whilst checking out the best nightlife in Meribel.

Tignes

Tignes has a lively array of nightlife, and close enough to Val d’Isère, to share another ski resorts après action. It’s a high altitude snow resort, so great for skiing stag weekends travelling at the end of the season and worried about snow availability. It’s a purpose built resort, so doesn’t have any old-skool charm, but who cares about that when the Tignes nightlife is one of the best for party ski holidays for stags and hen parties. Our top recommendation for beer on the terrace is Dropzone. We like it for table football and catching events on the big screen. Past 10pm, it turns into a nightclub. If you like dancing in your ski boots then head to Le Cocorico at the bottom of the lifts. Other firm favourites are: Grizzly’s Bar, Loop and Melting Pot, which plays non-commercial music. Perfect for hip-hop followers, Jazz lovers, and bass heads. Thatl’s the greatness of Tignes for a ski stag holiday, it offers variety. From posh to quirky, this French resort still delivers exceptional nights out.
